Job Overview

The Assistant Dental Office Manager (ADOM) is responsible for performing various functions in support of the DOM to ensure the smooth flow of the clinicโ€™s operations at peak efficiency. They provide exceptional customer service to all patients and team members.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in collection of payment on the clinical side.
  • Coordinate/lead (alongside DOM) team of DA/LDA/HYG/Dentists.
  • Create the weekly team schedule according to providersโ€™ availability.
  • Open/close building (alarm security system), ensure all team members leave first (this is a shared responsibility amongst ADOMs.
  • Access supply room (maintain inventory count) (only ADOM/DOM allowed in storage/supply room).
  • Send out patient x-rays and records.
  • Assist in completion of daily/weekly/monthly checklists with DOM to ensure the clinic is operating efficiently.
  • Hold biweekly meetings for members of the clinical team (ADOM does this with DOM).
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Secondary education is a plus.
  • 1-3 yearsโ€™ experience in a dental office โ€“ i.e. front desk, billing, patient care coordination, dental assisting.
  • Proven dedication to provide high quality, comprehensive dental care.
  • Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices.
  • CPR training and/or certification is a plus.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Well-organized and reliable.

Hours

8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST - with 1 hour lunch break at 1:00 p.m.
