St. Agnes Catholic Academy in Key Biscayne, Florida is searching for a qualified full-time Middle School English Teacher who is enthusiastic and creative for the coming 2026-27 school year. This applicant will be expected to teach English for grades 6-8. Secondly, they will be responsible for creating and implementing age-appropriate, engaging, and motivating lesson plans following ADOM standards. The Middle School English Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
  • BS / BA Degree in Secondary Education or English education.
  • Must have FDOE Teaching Certificate in English grades 5-9.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
  • Strong presentation skills including use of instructional technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Good spelling and grammar are required.
  • Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
  • Must have a professional demeanor.
