With a population of approximately 90,000 (200,000+ in surrounding areas), it provides a perfect balance of urban amenities and natural beauty, just a 2-hour drive from the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
Facility:
This medical center is part of a comprehensive healthcare system featuring a 16-bed Child/Adolescent inpatient unit and a 37-bed Adult inpatient unit. The facility includes the Amberwing center which provides Partial Hospitalization Programming and state-of-the-art mental health and substance abuse services for children, adolescents, and their families. It is also home to a NACHRI designated children's hospital as part of the Duluth medical campus.

Physician & Clinician - PHYSICIAN - Psychiatry
Job Details:
• Child & Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry position • Full-time (1.0 FTE) opportunity with potential 14 on/14 off schedule • No outpatient clinic required • Join a group of 9 adult and 4 child and adolescent psychiatrists as part of a comprehensive behavioral health program • Position follows a hospitalist model on the child psychiatry inpatient unit • Average caseload is 12 children, ages 6-18 years • Work with a comprehensive inpatient team including family therapists, social workers, chemical dependency counselors, behavioral health techs with robust programming • Overnight call averages 1 in 8 days • Access to immediate hospital medical services such as pediatric hospitalist consultation, full lab and imaging services in house • Collaborate with the Amberwing facility which provides partial hospitalization programming and mental health/substance abuse services • On-site Pediatric Occupational Therapy and a Birth to Kindergarten Program • Work within a full spectrum of care for children and adults, including inpatient psychiatric care, consult-liaison and emergency psychiatry, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization services • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry required • Regional service area of 460,000 people
