Job description

Indy Eleven internships are available for course credit only. Interns are provided a paid monthly parking stipend but are otherwise unpaid. Positions are less than 30 hours per week but will depend on the number of hours needed to complete course credit. Work schedules will be set at the beginning of the internship.
This Intern will work with the Marketing Communications Department to tell the stories of the team's players, coaching and support staff, front office members, fan base, and community and corporate partners via the creation of engaging multimedia and written content.
The Communications Intern will report to the Director, Communications & Marketing and the Director, Content Communications & Digital Marketing.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Live updates of matches via the team's official IndyEleven X account
  • Creation of graphics in Photoshop to support content
  • Creation and execution of social media and email marketing campaigns
  • Game preview and recap articles
  • Written feature stories of varying lengths for team website
  • Infographics and social media posts

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Available to work all home match days and have flexibility to work long and irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as assigned
  • Attend Marketing and Community events as a representative of Indy Eleven
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Teams) proficiency
  • Experience producing content (blogs, online entities, student media outlets, local newspapers)
  • Laptop capable of processing Adobe Creative Cloud design programs
  • Bilingual capabilities a plus
  • Ability to withhold confidential information
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
  • Own mode of transportation to get to and from office, training facility, and events
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
