Job description

SUMMARY

At CrossLink Professional Tax Software, the Forms Designer is responsible for designing or replicating new and existing federal, state, and city tax forms into a digital format.  Forms have to conform to the government agencies specifications and requirements in order to gain approvals for use in CrossLink’s Professional Tax Solutions products.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Access federal, state, and city websites to download draft and final versions of tax forms.
  • Create, reproduce, or update tax forms following CrossLink and National Association of Computerized Tax Processors (NACTP) standards.
  • Represent CrossLink as a liaison between programmers and revenue offices.
  • Support and assist programmers with submission review
  • Prepare electronic and/or overnight mail submissions.
  • Obtain form approvals from the various federal, state, and city revenue departments to meet product deadlines.
  • Maintain records of forms approved and state/fed contact information in CrossLink forms database.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties, i.e., copying, faxing, filing, and other duties as assigned.

  • 1-2 years of professional form/document design experience (or similar position)
  • Thorough understanding of word-processing and form design software (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Acrobat Pro, Jet Forms, and MS Word)
  • Expert proofreading and grammar skills with great attention to details
  • Able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and with a team
  • Outstanding organizational skills
