Job Description

As a Proposal Specialist, you will develop commercial and technical proposals in coordination with Business Development, Operations, and other teams. Key responsibilities include assessing opportunities, drafting proposal documents, reviewing contracts, leading meetings, and managing deadlines. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. This role ensures the delivery of client-focused solutions aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
What would you be doing?

  • Support Business Development and internal teams by planning, writing, editing, and compiling high-quality proposal packages ready for submission.
  • Manage the full proposal process, delivering client-focused RFPs, EOIs, SOIs, and pre-qualification documents while addressing client clarifications.
  • Track multiple client opportunities using Salesforce CRM, ensuring accurate data management and statistical analytics.
  • Organize and manage proposal files, documents, and deliverables, identifying scopes of work and subcontracting potential from RFP specifications.
  • Assign tasks to contributors, ensuring timely submission of accurate content and editing for quality, grammar, and consistency.

Qualifications
  • Highly motivated with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple proposals under tight deadlines.
  • Advanced technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint) and Adobe Pro for efficient documentation management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in proposal development, ideally within the construction or related industries.
  • Degree or diploma in Business, English, Technical Writing, or Communications preferred; CET or PMP certification and experience in construction or oil and gas proposals are assets.
