Admissions Coordinator

Location: East Providence, RI

Job Summary:

AdviniaCare Waterview Villa, a leading provider of senior lifestyle and care services, is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our admissions department, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating all admissions directed by the Director of Admissions. If you have a passion for marketing and sales, a strong understanding of geriatric care, and excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of an associate's degree in marketing/Sales or a related field or 3 years of experience in Marketing/Sales in Geriatrics

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a skilled nursing facility or Assisted Living facility

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of all admissions to the facility in accordance with budgeted census projections

  • Represent the facility to potential residents, families, hospitals, and other referral sources in a positive and professional manner

  • Know and comply with facility Privacy Practices policies and procedures and educate residents and families in the same

  • Coordinate all admission activities and documentation with all respective departments

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, in accordance with state and federal regulations

  • Act as a liaison between the facility and all community groups and agencies

  • Assist in the implementation of the facility's marketing plan as deemed appropriate

  • Utilize appropriate sales/marketing techniques, such as public speaking, community workshops, cold calling, facility events, and media coverage

  • Maintain budgeted census mix

  • Ensure detailed completion of all admission, discharge, and transfer records manually and electronically

  • Have knowledge of admission computer software and utilize it effectively

  • Provide ongoing assistance to potential residents and their families in negotiating a successful placement
