Job description

The McShane Center is a training center for the Doctoral Students in the Department of Psychology at Pace University. McShane is open from 9-7 every day which is approximately 50-hours per week. Student Administrators assist in covering the reception desk in the evenings and in the absence of the Center Manager. They convey messages to student trainees and patients, enter new information into Titanium, and contact the Director or Associate Director for crises.


McShane Center Part-Time Student Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Creating and managing appointments for patient appointments
  • Greeting and checking in patients upon their arrival to McShane
  • Collecting session fees
  • Answering incoming phone and email inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintaining clean and organized office/clinic space
  • Working as a liaison between patient therapist interactions by forwarding messages between parties
  • Updating and maintaining various documents that assist in the clinic's functioning such as supply, referral and contact information lists
  • Assisting in maintaining the patient filing system
  • Assisting in the preparation of intakes, waitlist management, and patient assignment tasks
  • Being flexible and willing to take on new tasks that are assigned
