Job Summary:
The Daycare Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth daily operation of the childcare center. This role serves as the first point of contact for families, manages records, assists with enrollment, and supports staff while maintaining a welcoming, organized, and compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  •  Greet parents, children, visitors, and answer phone calls professionally. 
  •  Manage child enrollment, registration, and attendance records. 
  •  Schedule tours, meetings, and appointments. 
  •  Respond to parent inquiries and provide excellent customer service. 
  •  Prepare administrative documents. 
  •  Assist with licensing documentation and compliance requirements. 
  •  Support the director with administrative tasks. 
  •  Maintain accurate databases and filing systems. 
  •  Coordinate communication between staff and families. 
Qualifications:
  •  High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in business administration, early childhood education, or related field preferred. 
  •  Previous administrative or office experience; childcare or daycare experience is required. 
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and childcare management software is preferred. 
  •  Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. 
  •  Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. 
  •  Friendly, dependable, and customer-service oriented. 
Physical Requirements:
  •  Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. 
  •  Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. 
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced childcare environment. 
Work Schedule:
  •  Full-time, Monday–Friday. 
  •  Occasional evening or weekend events as needed.
