POSITION SUMMARY

The Phlebotomist / Administrative Assistant is a hybrid role that provides phlebotomy services
on behalf of Victor S. Flauta MD & Associates, PC while also supporting the administrative operations of Fresno Guest Homes. The role includes skilled specimen collection (e.g., venipuncture, labeling, handling), in addition to providing general administrative support.


All phlebotomy-related activities are performed under the clinical supervision and direction of Victor S. Flauta, M.D. of Victor S. Flauta MD & Associates, PC, a medical provider that contracts with Staff2You CV, LLC.


The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, competent in phlebotomy, and skilled in communication and customer service.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Phlebotomy Duties

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws as ordered by licensed medical staff; complete associated charting as necessary.
  • Properly label, process, and prepare specimens for transport to the lab.
  • Maintain infection control protocols and ensure patient safety.
  • Track lab orders and follow up on results as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of phlebotomy supplies and workspace.
  • Conduct all phlebotomy procedures in accordance with protocols established and overseen by Victor S. Flauta MD & Associates, PC.

Administrative Support Duties

  • Provide general administrative support in the office environment.
  • Scan and electronically file confidential medical and administrative documents.
  • Support application and renewal processes by collecting necessary documentation.
  • Assist with enrollment, incident report submissions, and update tracking.
  • Maintain office supplies and support multiple administrative personnel.
  • Execute recurring administrative projects (e.g., annual form distribution).
  • Complete clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, and organizing files.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the role and team evolve.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license required in the State of California.
  • At least 2 years of combined experience in phlebotomy and administrative roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-service oriented with the ability to interface professionally with residents, families, and staff.
  • Criminal background clearance is required.
  • Reliable transportation, valid Driver's License, and clean driving record.
  • Pre-employment physical and TB Test required per state regulations.
