The Role

As Operations Administrator, the successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the overall operation of the facility’s office through daily administrative tasks. Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Administrator will also be the first point of contact for producer/customer calls and will redirect inquiries to the appropriate resource or Manager when needed.

Day to Day
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support office operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and at the reception desk
  • Maintain filing for all documentation per auditing standards
  • Assist with safety/HACCP documentation
  • Assist with operational duties including but not limited to movement and sampling of grain, monitoring grain quality shipment and other processes involved in the operations of the grain facility
  • Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, agriculture or equivalent experience in an administrative or similar role
  • Exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work some weekends and overtime hours as required
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools
  • Knowledge or experience in the agricultural industry is an asset
