Job description

Parallax EA Intern Position

The Parallax Advanced Research Mission is to deliver innovative research and provide technology, human and business solutions via The Science of Intelligent Teaming™ for government, industry and academic clients with critical challenges.

Purpose:

The Parallax EA Intern supports this mission by providing clerical, administrative, and general office support to Parallax programs and operations as determined and directed by the Senior Executive Assistant. This position will be responsible for assisting the EA Team and Parallax staff with general office duties including, but not limited to, research, data entry, filing, and general office coordination.

As a student employee at Parallax, you are eligible to work up to 28 hours per week, with an hourly rate pay. In this position, you are also qualified for both Roth post-tax 401(K) and/or pre-tax with a generous monthly company match.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scan and catalog company documents.
  • Review and edit company briefings.
  • Conduct internet research.
  • Assist with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Review documents to minimize technical and grammatical errors.
  • Draft correspondence; email exchanges.
  • Prepare/reset meeting space and assist with hospitality tasks.
  • Other office tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • U.S. Citizenship is required and ability to work on-site at Parallax-HQ in Beavercreek.
  • High school education and active pursuit of an associate or bachelor's degree.
  • High degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability; specifically, the ability to work as a self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize those tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, both virtually and in-person.
  • A willingness to take on tasks, think critically, and learn.
  • Familiarity with MS Office: PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word
