Position Overview:
We're looking for a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to support our North America employee population, with a primary focus on our growing Salt Lake City facility of approximately 50 employees. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, building strong relationships with leaders and employees, and rolling up their sleeves to support a dynamic manufacturing environment.
The HR Generalist will play a key role in delivering day-to-day HR support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and core HR operations. Partnering closely with site leadership, this individual will help strengthen people processes, support employee engagement initiatives, and contribute to building a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing, interview coordination, offer and onboarding administration
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and recruitment strategies
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts through LinkedIn, job boards, referral and agency partnerships as needed
  • Ensure a seamless onboarding experience and accurate completion of onboarding documentation
  • Continuously evaluate and improve hiring processes to enhance speed, quality and candidate experience

Employee Experience & Engagement
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative work environment aligned with Aerovac's core values
  • Support initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, morale, teamwork and organizational effectiveness
  • Partner with corporate and site leadership to help build scalable HR programs and processes that support business growth
  • Participate in site leadership meetings and activities to maintain awareness of operational needs

Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • Serve as the primary onsite HR resource for employees and leaders at Salt Lake City facility
  • Act as point of contact for employee relations matters, workplace concerns and policy interpretation
  • Conduct first level investigations and support documentation related to performance management
  • Partner with leaders to provide coaching and guidance on employee engagement, performance management and people leadership best practices
  • Support conflict resolution efforts aligned with company policies and core values
  • Assist leaders with employee development plans

HR Operations, Compliance & Administration
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
  • Support payroll and benefits administration by partnering closely with Corporate Payroll & Benefits teams
  • Facilitate timely communication related to leave administration, payroll processing and employee changes
  • Prepare reports, people analytics and identify trends or opportunities to improve HR effectiveness
  • Support HR initiatives and projects related to compliance, culture, compensation, engagement and process improvement

Expected Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance in multi-site environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications; HRIS experience required (UKG Pro preferred)
  • Experience with exempt and non-exempt employee populations
  • Familiarity with benefits, leave management, and payroll impacts
  • Discreet, empathetic, and professional in handling sensitive matters
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Comfortable working independently and influencing without authority
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience managing employee relations cases from intake through resolution
  • Ability to clearly explain HR policies and procedures
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism
  • Experience coaching leaders through performance management and workplace concerns

Travel:
  • 5% domestic travel is required
