This is a full-time, on-site role based in Glastonbury, Connecticut, offering consistency, collaboration, and direct access to partners and clients.

Job Description

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to estate planning, trust administration, probate, and fiduciary tax matters
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, pleadings, motions, briefs, and related estate planning documents
  • Administer trusts and estates, including fiduciary tax considerations
  • Represent clients in probate court hearings and related proceedings
  • Prepare for hearings by organizing evidence and developing legal strategies
  • Communicate clearly with clients, providing practical legal guidance in plain English
  • Manage an independent caseload in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with partners, attorneys, and staff on complex matters
  • Stay current on changes in estate planning, elder law, probate, and tax regulations
  • Participate in client development, networking, and firm growth initiatives
  • Deliver presentations on estate planning and elder law topics as needed

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Connecticut
  • 1+ years of attorney experience.
  • Elder law experience required
  • Fiduciary tax planning experience strongly preferred
  • Prior probate court hearing experience
  • Strong legal research, writing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
