Job description

A global investment firm is looking for an HR Associate specializing in HRIS and Benefits Administration to join their team in either NYC or Greenwich, CT. This position is starting off as a fully in-office position (can be in either NYC or Greenwich, CT), but once fully integrated will have flexibility to work from home 1-2 days/week.


Key Responsibilities

HRIS Administration:

  • Handle all benefits administration in UKG (UltiPro), maintaining data integrity and ensuring accurate employee records
  • Manage HRIS configuration, workflows, and system updates
  • Support open enrollment and benefits administration by developing and maintaining reports and dashboards within the BI reporting environment
  • Ensure data accuracy through routine audits, reconciliations, and quality-control processes across all HRIS and benefits records.
  • Collaborate with Payroll on system updates, including benefits rate changes, plan updates, and data reconciliation to ensure accurate plan configuration for each plan year.


Benefits Administration:

  • Partner with the HR Benefits team to handle the annual Open Enrollment process in UKG, including system configuration, testing, employee communications, and post-enrollment auditing.
  • Function as a point of contact for health and welfare benefit transactions.
  • Assist with the administration of day-to-day benefits operations (enrollments, qualifying life events, COBRA, LOA, and terminations)
  • Coordinate new hire benefits orientation
  • Assist with benefits-related reporting requirements


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; minimum 4 years of HR experience, preferably in the financial services industry with demonstrated HRIS and/or benefits administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with UKG (UltiPro) required, including Open Enrollment configuration, benefits module administration, and BI reporting.
  • Experience working with Workday preferred
  • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and FMLA.
  • Resourceful, highly organized, dependable, and efficient with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion; knows when to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs; experience with HRIS reporting tools preferred.
