Job description

Majority of the role will be performed remotely. Will need to travel onsite to pick up equipment on occasion. When traveling for work purposes mileage expenses will be reimbursed if utilizing your own vehicle. If utilizing a the client’s vehicle mileage will not be reimbursed. (Will only consider local candidates within an hour radius of Augusta, ME)

Phone/Skype Hire. Hybrid

Location: Augusta, ME

Duration: 12+ months

The Specialist is knowledgeable on the usage and support of Windows Operating systems and products that run on those platforms. The individual performs a full range of computer administration functions with minimal direction and/or technical support. The individual will uninstall, repair, or update software and operating systems. The individual will perform advanced troubleshooting and remediation via remote support. Vendor technical liaison functions maybe required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop computer support.
  • Install application updates.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate Operating System update failures.
  • Remove unsupported or vulnerable software from end users' computers.
  • Ensure that all work is documented for future reference.
  • Follow quality standards.
  • Understand the installation of software patches and upgrades.
  • Understand the use of remote technology and commands.
  • Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
