Job Description

Position           : Dremio Admin
Duration         : 6+ months contract
Location          : Auburn Hills, MI or Frisco, TX Hybrid

Description:

  • Dremio is a datalake platform, infrastructure is in AWS cloud. 
  • Onboarding new user to maintaining back-end infrastructure. Heavily used tools, only self-service analytical tool, across all business units.  Users heavily rely on this platform, and data being updated.  100+ data sources across the organization that gets fed into this data lake.  The don’t want to constantly deal with users pinging them with errors, but this person should also be able to update the backend infrastructure of the tool.  Troubleshoot incidents when things break, but also, be able to work on upgrades, and keep up with vulnerabilities.  SQL savvy, need to understand performance and how to help with performance issues. 
  • Manage, maintain and optimize our Dremio Platform. The candidate will have hands-on-experience in administrating Dremio in prod env, including upgrades, performance tuning and day-to-day operations. This role will also be responsible for managing clusters on Amazon EKS and familiarity with reflections and data space management.
