Assistant Branch Administrator

Raymond James Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Branch Administrator to work with our leadership team in the flagship Vancouver Cathedral office.

The primary role of the Assistant Branch Administrator is to provide operational and administrative support to the management team, and ensure the branch is ran efficiently and effectively. The individual will assist in the implementation of branch directives and ensure a high level of service quality is evident in all aspects of day-to-day operations. The role requires previous experience as a licensed Sales Assistant in the Investment Industry.

What will your role be responsible for?

Service Excellence:

  • Work closely with the Senior Branch Administrator supporting staff initiatives & communications, onboarding and offboarding support staff, track and maintain staff vacations & absences and general office administration;
  • Support the Branch Compliance Supervisor preparing and reviewing daily branch reports, client correspondence and taking ownership of project work;
  • Act as a branch reference regarding operational policies & procedures, workstation applications and IT issues;
  • Schedule and organize meetings, including preparation and co-ordination of booking facilities, arranging required equipment, refreshments, etc.
  • Coordinate with branch marketing initiatives including client appreciation events, mailings, website development/maintenance, and social media;
  • Foster and support client relationships by responding to requests and proactive problem solving;
  • Enter trades, including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds as required;
  • Open accounts and manage documentation requirements as well as update accounts and create portfolio reviews as required;
  • Assist branch management team with other duties as assigned.

  • Participate fully as a member for the branch team and contribute to a positive work culture.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic sales-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with industry codes of conduct and with securities regulations.

  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in the Investment Brokerage or Financial Services Industry and be IR-Licensed.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment;

Salary Range: $45,000 - 60,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.
