Job Description
Under the direction of the Art History or Studio Art Program Chair, adjunct faculty will develop and maintain undergraduate curriculum in accordance with departmental course outlines and learning outcomes. These responsibilities include:
Developing and managing a class syllabus.
Preparation of lesson plans, lectures, and other class activities that teach students appropriate skills and knowledge.
Monitoring students' learning progress, communicating expectations, and providing feedback on the attainment of class standards.
Evaluating students' knowledge and skills through tests, assignments and other assessment activities.
Grading assignments, papers, quizzes, and exams.
Reporting student's progress throughout the semester and providing final grades at the conclusion of the class.
Attending Department meetings where appropriate.
Required Qualifications
Must have a terminal degree in the field of instruction or related area.
The demonstrated ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
