Job description


  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Aderant and other financial systems using SQL Server and SSIS.

  • Develop and maintain complex Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize financial and operational metrics.

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting solutions.

  • Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Management teams to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.

  • Optimize queries and data models for performance and scalability.

  • Support migration from legacy reporting tools (SSRS) to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

  • System Integration & Support

  • Work with database administrators and application teams to integrate reporting solutions with Aderant and related platforms.

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for reporting-related issues.

  • Assist in upgrading SharePoint intranet and integrating dashboards into the MS Cloud environment.

  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to reporting processes and technologies.

  • Document data models, workflows, and reporting standards for governance and compliance.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Technical Expertise

  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard design).

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, and ETL processes.

  • Experience with Aderant Expert or Aderant Sierra; familiarity with Elite/3E or similar financial systems is a plus.

  • Understanding of Microsoft Fabric and cloud-based data architecture.

  • Additional Skills

  • Experience with SharePoint administration and integration.

  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell), HTML/CSS, and .NET is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Education & Background

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 4 years in reporting development or BI roles, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial data reporting and analytics.

  • Knowledge of API integrations and enterprise content management systems.

  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git/GitHub).
