Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), detoxification management tools, and substance abuse screening instruments is highly beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and crisis intervention abilities help Addiction RNs build trust and effectively support patients through recovery. These competencies are essential to provide safe, evidence-based care and facilitate positive outcomes for individuals struggling with addiction.
