• Conduct crisis assessments and immediate interventions for individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies.

• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response personnel as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of clients in crisis.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Sutter Psychotherapy Services, you will primarily work with individuals struggling with addiction, acute emotional distress, and mental health crises. The ideal candidate will demonstrate cultural sensitivity and a commitment to addressing the diverse needs of clients, leveraging empathetic communication to create a safe space for healing. Our focus is on those who may be in immediate need of intervention, including survivors of trauma, individuals facing suicidal thoughts, and those battling substance dependence.

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credentials.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
• In-depth understanding of evidence-based practices in crisis management and mental health therapy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients.
• Ability to conduct rapid assessments and devise individualized crisis intervention plans tailored to client needs.
• Knowledge of ethical and legal standards relevant to mental health practice.

• Further training or certifications in trauma-informed care and crisis counseling methodologies.
• Proven experience in managing cases involving acute mental health crises, particularly within a telehealth framework.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities that enhance addiction recovery and emotional stability.

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 95,000 annually, with potential for salary adjustments as skills and contributions are recognized.
