As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ substance use history and associated mental health issues.
• Developing individualized treatment plans that address both addiction and underlying mental health disorders through a collaborative approach.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to promote recovery.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Specialized training and experience in addiction counseling and evidence-based treatment practices.
• Strong therapeutic and counseling skills with an ability to inspire and motivate clients towards recovery.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Candidates with prior experience working in a telehealth setting or with specialized training in treating co-occurring disorders are highly desirable. Familiarity with specific evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will be beneficial in this role.
