Thrive Wellness Counseling Center is seeking a fully licensed mental health therapist skilled in addiction counseling. This remote position enables you to deliver care through telehealth, which allows for a flexible and comfortable working atmosphere. You will interact regularly with a team of fellow professionals, including psychiatrists, case managers, and other therapists, using cutting-edge technology to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration around client care.

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to understand clients' histories with substance abuse and any co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Craft personalized and effective treatment plans that address both addiction and underlying psychological issues by incorporating evidence-based therapies.
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions focused on recovery, utilizing proven methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI).
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure all aspects of client care are integrated and aligned with best practices.
• Educate clients' families about addiction, treatment processes, and recovery to foster a supportive environment for their loved ones.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and regulatory standards.

Our clients include diverse individuals at various stages of addiction recovery, ranging from those newly entering treatment to those continuing their recovery journey. You will work with clients facing various challenges, such as mental health disorders, trauma, and socio-economic factors that impact their substance use. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing the unique needs of each client and creating an individualized path to recovery.

• A current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated specialized training or experience in substance abuse treatment and addiction counseling.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for managing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Exceptional therapeutic skills, fostering rapport, trust, and motivation among clients throughout their recovery journey.

• Experience in a substance abuse treatment setting, particularly in a telehealth context.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and a demonstrated ability to adapt approaches based on individual client needs.
• Experience working with diverse populations and managing culturally sensitive issues.
