As a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate each client’s substance use history and mental health status.
• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that factor in the complexities of addiction alongside any co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
• Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers—to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
• Engaging and educating families about the recovery process, ensuring they are included as vital components of the treatment plan.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in adherence to HIPAA and other applicable regulations.

The clients you'll serve predominantly include adults facing substance use disorders coupled with various mental health challenges. To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your application:

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
