Responsibilities are role dependent and may include:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Provides high quality, compassionate and ethical counseling to clients individually to meet treatment goals.
  • Refer clients to other support services including detoxification, intensive programming, psychiatric services, social services programs, and employment services as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential client records in accordance with organizational standards and legal requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical supervision sessions.
  • Stay updated on current research and best practices in mental health and addiction treatment.
  • Assess and manage risk on an ongoing basis and adjust level of care and recommendations as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently.
  • Knowledge of risk issues and verbal de-escalation abilities, as well as consultation options.
  • Ability to make decisions and mobilize resources quickly and effectively in an emergency
  • Demonstrates professionalism with related professionals both inside/outside of the agency

    • LSW: Licensed Social Worker
    • MSW: Master Social Worker
    • LISW: Licensed Independent Social Worker
