Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services (BGS), is seeking an Software Test Engineer in Hazelwood, MO for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. The Tomahawk program continues to grow and expand as a relevant deterrent against adversaries across the globe and is employed by multiple military organizations. This program is expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future.

The successful candidate for the role of Software Test Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, and safety standards for the Tomahawk program, while adhering to strict government regulations. You will have the opportunity to review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, enhancing and optimizing software products and functionalities for systems integrations. Additionally, you will debug and resolve issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain tests in a .Net Framework and .Net 8/10 environment
  • Create test plans and cases based on program requirements
  • Execute manual exploratory testing
  • Write automation scripts to automate testing efforts
  • Document identified defects in bug tracking system and verify implemented fixes
  • Track quality assurance metrics (defect density, open defects, time to resolution, etc.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Ability to meet DoD 8140 Program Foundational qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Proficiency with modern scripting or programming language(s) (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, .Net etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree earned in one of the following concentrations: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering
  • SSCP (ISC2), GSEC (GIAC), CompTIA PenTEST/eJPT, CompTIA CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst), CISSP and/or CASP+
  • 1+ years of unit test development experience
  • 1+ years of experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with test automation development
