Job description

Job Summary:
Qualcomm is a leading supplier of chipset platforms for Automotive applications, seeking a Staff Product Manager for their Camera ADAS team. The role involves managing the Automotive Camera roadmap, driving product strategy, and ensuring successful product launches while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Reviews identified gaps in market based on complex analyses of overall ecosystem demands and makes portfolio decisions on how these gaps impact product roadmaps.
• Validates business cases and determines relevance to organizational strategy; contributes to the creation of the product roadmap to advance organizational strategy and goals.
• Translates customer needs, product roadmaps, and organizational strategy into successful product portfolios and facilitates decisions necessary for product delivery by partnering with cross-functional leaders.
• Drives portfolio launch strategies and identifies technical marketing opportunities such as conferences, congresses, and direct customer contact and ensures successful product launch.
• Reviews, prepares, and delivers technical presentations regarding product roadmaps, RFPs, and/or proposals to demonstrate and market product portfolios to customers and/or prospective customers, and integrates customer feedback into project roadmaps.
• Drives effective cross-functional collaboration by ensuring that Engineering and other internal partners (i.e., program management) meet customer expectations, promised deadlines, and align with overall roadmap for product portfolio(s).
• Drives communication plan and communicates appropriately with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management to build relationships, ensure alignment and buy-in, and achieve product goals as well as manage any planned changes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
• Strong understanding of Camera systems (sensor + ISP + SW pipeline)
• Strong understanding of Embedded / Linux / Android systems
• Strong understanding of Multimedia or perception stacks (CV/AI as a plus)
• Strong understanding of ADAS / surround view / driver monitoring feature ownership
• Strong understanding of OEM-specific customization and scaling across trims
• Strong understanding of Safety, reliability, and regulatory alignment
• Strong understanding of Coordination with camera supply chain + tuning partners
• Proven experience in Product lifecycle management (end-to-end ownership)
• Proven experience in Roadmap definition and prioritization
• Proven experience in Customer-driven product development
• Cross-functional coordination across engineering + business teams
• Strong stakeholder management and communication
• Ability to make trade-offs across cost, performance, and timelines
• Experience in go-to-market strategies.
• Execution oriented and track record of driving on time deliverables to customers with aggressive schedules.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in a technical field such as engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of Product Management or related work experience in embedded platforms covering Camera, and Video sub-systems
• Experience with Software Architecture and Linux based OS frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with internal, and external stakeholders, to achieve extraordinary results
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
