An Ad Viewing job involves watching advertisements, either for market research, quality control, or earning rewards. Companies use these roles to assess ad effectiveness or engage users in incentive-based programs. Some positions require providing feedback, while others simply track engagement. These jobs can be found on survey sites, market research platforms, or as part of loyalty programs. Earnings and legitimacy vary, so it's important to research opportunities before joining.

What does an ad viewing do?

A typical day for someone in an Ad Viewing position involves reviewing and verifying the placement, quality, and performance of digital advertisements across various platforms. You'll often use digital dashboards or reporting tools to track metrics, flag discrepancies, and ensure campaigns meet brand standards. Your work will also involve coordinating with marketing teams or ad managers to report findings and support optimizations. While the pace can be fast to keep up with campaign schedules, the work environment is often collaborative and detail-oriented. This position provides valuable exposure to the digital advertising landscape and can lead to roles with greater responsibility in campaign management or analytics.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the ad viewing position, and why are they important?

To excel in Ad Viewing, you typically need strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a basic understanding of digital marketing or advertising concepts. Familiarity with ad management platforms, tracking tools, and possibly certifications in digital advertising (such as Google Ads) are often valuable. Job description

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox CorporationUnder the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world’s leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

At AdRise, we build cutting-edge advertising capabilities for Tubi and across the Fox portfolio of brands across Sports, Entertainment and News, and including Fox One, the new direct to consumer streaming service.

Before streaming became industry standard, AdRise powered Tubi's growth from the ground up by developing real-time ad delivery and dynamic targeting infrastructure that scaled to serve hundreds of millions. That same tech foundation is now fueling FOX's cross-portfolio monetization strategy. Put simply, we are creating the most efficient, intelligent, and transparent advertising ecosystem in the world, starting with streaming.

We are enhancing the in-house ad tech stack by optimizing server-side delivery, building ML-driven targeting systems, and enabling content-personalized ad experiences that respond to what viewers actually watch. From real-time decisioning to data collaboration with AWS and Databricks, we are creating a smarter, more dynamic ad tech ecosystem. The problems are complex, the visibility is high, and the platform is built for impact. If you want to work at the center of streaming monetization on systems that touch hundreds of billions of impressions and shape the next generation of personalized advertising, this is your platform.

ABOUT THE ROLE

AdRise is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead Rainmaker, our Ad Server engineering domain responsible for the core systems that decide, deliver, and govern advertising across our streaming ecosystem. This domain sits at the heart of monetization and is accountable for business-critical systems that must be fast, reliable, scalable, and operationally excellent.

In this role, you will own a major engineering domain portfolio and be accountable for multi-quarter results across delivery, reliability, and technical health. You will work closely with Product, Data Science, ML, Ads Operations, and platform partners to evolve our ad serving capabilities and execution model.

This role requires strong engineering judgment and organizational leadership. You will set direction for the domain, make investment tradeoffs across product delivery and platform sustainability, establish a high bar for quality and operational rigor, and build a healthy organization that can scale with the business.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the Rainmaker Ad Server engineering team, setting clear technical direction, team priorities, and execution standards across a high-scale, low-latency ad serving platform
  • Own the engineering strategy and roadmap for ad serving capabilities, balancing near‑term business commitments with long‑term platform health, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Partner with Product, Data Science, ML, and adjacent engineering teams to translate business goals into durable technical investments that improve delivery quality, monetization efficiency, and advertiser outcomes.
  • Drive the architecture and evolution of distributed systems that power ad decisioning, auction logic, targeting, eligibility, pacing integrations, and serving reliability at large scale.
  • Build and develop a high‑performing engineering organization by coaching managers and senior engineers, growing staff‑level leadership, and creating clarity in roles, expectations, and career development.
  • Establish a high bar for engineering excellence through strong design reviews, operational rigor, observability, incident management, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Improve team execution by strengthening planning, prioritization, delivery predictability, and cross‑functional alignment across multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Identify architectural bottlenecks, organizational friction, and process gaps, then lead pragmatic changes that increase velocity without compromising system correctness or reliability.
  • Champion modernization where it matters, whether through platform simplification, performance optimization, infrastructure improvements, or better developer workflows.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • 10+ years of experience building and operating large‑scale distributed systems, with substantial experience in backend infrastructure and real‑time services.
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing senior engineers and engineering managers in high‑performing technical organizations.
  • Strong technical depth in low‑latency, high‑throughput distributed systems, with the ability to guide architecture and make sound tradeoffs in performance, reliability, scalability, and developer velocity.
  • Experience leading teams responsible for business‑critical production systems with demanding uptime and performance requirements.
  • Strong background with JVM‑based backend systems, ideally Scala, with fluency in modern service‑oriented architecture and distributed systems design.
  • Experience with core backend infrastructure such as Postgres, Redis, Kafka and/or Kinesis, and cloud‑native operational environments.
  • Demonstrated success partnering cross‑functionally with Product, Data Science, ML, and other engineering teams to deliver complex, multi‑team initiatives.
  • Track record of building strong teams, mentoring senior engineers, and creating environments where technical leaders can thrive.
  • Strong operational instincts, including experience driving incident response, service reliability improvements, and engineering process maturity.
  • High ownership, sound judgment, and a pragmatic approach to balancing technical quality with business impact
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Experience in AdTech, including ad serving, targeting, auction systems, campaign delivery, forecasting, or measurement.
  • Experience leading teams responsible for core ad decisioning or monetization infrastructure.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and related infrastructure and deployment tooling in large‑scale production environments.
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, real‑time optimization systems, and data‑intensive platforms used to improve serving decisions and monetization outcomes.
  • Experience operating in streaming media, CTV, video advertising, or other high‑scale consumer platforms.
