Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our high-performing Accounting team at Ad Populum. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and audit support while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, takes pride in producing accurate work, and enjoys contributing to a team that values continuous improvement and professional growth.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in monthly closing process.
  • Prepare balance sheet analyses and reconciliations to support amounts.
  • Prepare journal entries.
  • Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Lead the Ad Populum level consolidation process, including but not limited, to improving current processes, implementing system(s), and reconciling intercompany balances across all Ad Populum operating companies.
  • Responsible for maintaining Intercompany Loan schedules, working with Legal to ensure appropriate documentation, and cross-coordination with Operating Companies to ensure alignment across ERPs.
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and reporting in support of members of the Accounting team.
  • Prepare information for annual audit required by independent CPA firm.
  • Assist with quarterly royalty calculations for well-known licensors.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance required.
  • 3+ years of Accounting or Finance experience
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on many unique projects and tasks.
