Vice President, Digital Operations Director

Location: Miami, Florida

Position Summary

Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS), one of the nationโ€™s leading Hispanic media and entertainment companies, is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President, Digital Operations Director to lead and optimize digital operations across its multimedia platforms, including radio, streaming, podcasting, websites, mobile applications, social media, and digital advertising initiatives.

Based in Miami, Florida, this executive leadership role will oversee the operational execution, performance, scalability, and innovation of SBSโ€™s digital ecosystem, including LaMusica and associated digital properties. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with deep expertise in digital media operations, revenue optimization, audience engagement, content distribution, analytics, and cross-functional team management within a fast-paced broadcasting and entertainment environment.

This role partners closely with executive leadership, programming, sales, engineering, marketing, product, and technology teams to drive operational excellence and support the continued growth of SBSโ€™s digital business.


Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDigital Operations Leadership
  • Lead day-to-day digital operations across all SBS digital platforms and streaming products.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies to support audience growth, digital revenue, and platform performance.
  • Oversee workflow management for digital content publishing, streaming operations, podcast distribution, mobile applications, and website functionality.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and consistency across all digital channels and markets.
  • Monitor and improve digital platform uptime, reliability, quality assurance, and user experience.
Revenue & Business Operations
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations teams to support digital advertising execution, sponsorship fulfillment, campaign delivery, and monetization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with programming and marketing teams to maximize audience engagement and digital consumption.
  • Support the development and execution of branded content, digital promotions, livestream events, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze operational and revenue performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
Technology & Platform Management
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product, and IT teams on digital infrastructure, integrations, platform enhancements, and vendor relationships.
  • Oversee operational coordination for streaming technology, CMS platforms, analytics tools, ad-serving systems, mobile app functionality, and digital audio products.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies, automation tools, and operational best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with digital standards, data privacy regulations, and company policies.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor digital operations staff and cross-functional teams across multiple markets.
  • Establish operational KPIs, workflows, and performance expectations.
  • Foster collaboration between content, programming, sales, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development of digital personnel.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and operational updates to senior leadership.
Analytics & Performance Management
  • Monitor audience analytics, streaming metrics, app performance, advertising delivery, and operational reporting.
  • Utilize data insights to improve operational effectiveness, audience retention, and monetization performance.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools for leadership visibility and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Digital Media, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7โ€“10 years of experience in digital media operations, broadcasting, streaming, or entertainment industries.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong understanding of digital publishing, streaming audio/video platforms, podcast operations, ad operations, and digital monetization.
  • Experience working within media, radio, entertainment, or multi-platform broadcasting environments preferred.
  • Strong operational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Experience with analytics platforms, CMS systems, digital ad technologies, and streaming infrastructure.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and digital analytics platforms.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Miami, Florida.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises digital operations personnel and cross-functional operational teams.
  • Responsible for leadership, coaching, performance management, and departmental oversight.

Physical Requirements
