Job Summary

The Banquet Operations Manager leads the planning and execution of all in-house catered events at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center. Working closely with catering, sales, and culinary teams, this role ensures seamless operations, exceptional guest experiences, and high-quality event delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations

  • Execute events, menus, and guest requests with strong attention to detail
  • Ensure team members are equipped for success
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and team members

Controls

  • Maintain safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards
  • Plan and manage inventory, equipment, and operational needs

  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
  • Support team productivity, morale, and engagement

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of catering or banquet management experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and meet physical job demands

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher
  • 1-2 years of fine dining or operations management experience
  • Food, beverage, and wine knowledge
  • ServSafe certification, Food Handler & Alcohol
