This role partners with plant operations, procurement, vendors, and finance teams to support financial accuracy and operational visibility across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesValidate and process metal receipts while resolving pricing discrepancies, non-receipts, and purchase order variancesPartner with vendors and plants to resolve Advance Shipping Notification (ASN) issuesSupport communication and issue resolution related to supplier payments and procurement discrepanciesPrepare and analyze metal price variances and customer pass-through reportingComplete monthly journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysisReview and investigate freight invoices and related discrepanciesProcess mill and vendor claims and support monthly executive reportingMaintain and revise standard costs for steel coils and support ongoing cost accounting initiativesReconcile utility invoices and distribute findings to plant leadership teamsSupport ad hoc analysis, process improvements, and cross-functional accounting projectsWhat You BringThe ideal candidate combines accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across teams in a manufacturing environment.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing accounting, inventory accounting, operations accounting, or cost accounting environmentsExperience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) or similar ERP systemsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reconciliation modelingStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively with finance and operational teamsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentWhy This Role Stands OutThis opportunity offers exposure to manufacturing operations, supply chain activity, inventory analysis, cost accounting, and operational finance while partnering with teams across the organization.
