Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Work with complex automotive electrical systems and troubleshoot issues effectively. Conduct thorough inspections and alignments to maintain vehicle safety and reliability. Utilize schematics to understand vehicle systems and components for efficient repairs. Handle automotive repair tasks including powertrain work, transmissions, and diesel engine repairs. Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic preferably with Honda/Acura models in a dealership or service center environment. Proficient in diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. Ability to use diagnostic tools and software. Automotive certifications for Honda/Acura or similar manufacturer preferred. Familiarity with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for various automotive tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret automotive schematics. Strong understanding of Honda vehicle systems and components. Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests. Attendance Expectations: The position requires regular and predictable attendance in-person at an automotive dealership. Scheduled shifts are typically 5-days per week, rotating Saturdays, and may include holidays. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to (50) pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Environment Demands: Duties are performed primarily in the automotive service area. Work includes movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions. Frequently interacts with customers, service advisors and the service manager. Verbal and Writing Ability: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
