Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer specializing in Cybersecurity, Secure Cloud Architectures, and High-Performance Systems. This role requires expertise in Rust for security-critical components, Scala for distributed systems, and WebAssembly (WASM) for sandboxed execution. You will work on developing next-generation security platforms, real-time threat detection, and secure cloud services on AWS. As a key technical leader, you will drive end-to-end security strategies, optimize performance for cryptographic workloads, and ensure the resilience of large-scale distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop highly secure, performance-critical backend services using Rust (Tokio, Actix, Axum, Rocket).

Build and scale distributed security applications with Scala (Akka, Play, ZIO, Cats).

Implement WebAssembly (WASM)-based sandboxed execution environments for security-sensitive operations.

Design and deploy cloud-native cybersecurity solutions on AWS (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront, KMS, GuardDuty, WAF, Security Hub).

Develop advanced threat detection and response mechanisms leveraging real-time analytics and event-driven architectures (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ).

Secure API development with OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, TLS, Mutual TLS (mTLS).

Optimize cryptographic operations (encryption, hashing, digital signatures) with Rust and WASM.

Enhance cloud security with Zero Trust frameworks (BeyondCorp, AWS Verified Access, Tailscale).

Design authentication and identity management solutions using AWS Cognito, IAM, Keycloak.

Deploy and manage security policies using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).

Implement real-time security monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, AWS Security Lake.

Perform secure coding, vulnerability assessments, and automated security compliance checks (SAST, DAST, IaC Security).

Required Skills & amp; Experience:

17+ years of experience in backend development, cybersecurity, and distributed systems.

Expertise in Rust (Tokio, Actix, Rocket, Axum) for secure, memory-safe applications.

Proficiency in Scala (Akka, ZIO, Cats, Play) for building scalable security services.

Strong experience with WebAssembly (WASM) for secure, sandboxed execution in cloud and edge environments.

Deep knowledge of AWS security services (GuardDuty, WAF, Security Hub, IAM, Cognito, KMS, CloudTrail).

Advanced understanding of Zero Trust architectures, encryption, and authentication (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, TLS, mTLS).

Proven expertise in cryptographic protocols (AES, SHA, RSA, ECC, HMAC, ECDSA).

Experience with threat intelligence, SIEM, and security analytics tools (Splunk, ELK Stack, AWS Security Lake).

Strong database security and performance optimization skills (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, graph databases).

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK) and DevSecOps best practices.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

Experience in secure multi-party computation (SMPC) and homomorphic encryption.

Knowledge of hardware security modules (HSMs) for cryptographic key management.

Familiarity with block chain security (smart contract audits, key management).

Machine Learning for threat detection and anomaly detection.

Federated Identity and Access Management (FIDO2, WebAuthn, SAML, SCIM).
