Job description

Substitute/Activity Bus Driver

Gasconade County R-1 Schools is looking for substitute/activity bus drivers to join our team! You will be part of a team and provide a valuable service to our community.

We seek a driver who is committed to safety, customer service and has a genuine caring attitude for children. In this position, you will drive as needed for morning and afternoon routes, with the ability to drive additional routes as requested. Must have an active CDL license. Prior bus driver experience is a plus but not required.

In this position, you will perform a variety of duties including, drive a school bus while supervising students, work with minimal supervision, perform daily pre-trip inspection and maintain the cleanliness of the bus's exterior and interior, make decisions putting the safety and well being of the students first and use a professional approach with interpersonal interactions with parents and school staff. Additionally, you will complete daily drive logs and other administrative tasks as needed.
