Are you passionate about enriching the lives of older adults? Do you enjoy planning events, building relationships, and bringing joy to others? Oasis at the Atrium, a welcoming and vibrant assisted living community, is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to support our life-enrichment team in creating engaging programs that inspire, entertain, and connect our residents. Candidate with a flexable schedule, to shadow the Director is perferred

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, organizing, and leading a variety of daily activities, events, and outings for residents

Foster resident participation and engagement with a warm, inclusive approach

Help create monthly activity calendars and coordinate logistics (materials, transportation, staffing)

Willing to drive the bus to planned events or other outings

Support with holiday and special event planning, including themed parties and guest entertainment

Maintain documentation for resident attendance and activity preferences

Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop new programs based on resident interests

Occasionally transport residents to local events or appointments (if applicable)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework in recreation, gerontology, or a related field is a plus

Previous experience working with seniors, ideally in an activities or caregiving role

Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred

Creative, energetic, and organized with strong interpersonal skills

Comfortable leading group activities and one-on-one sessions

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Valid driver’s license
