We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team at The Sentinel of Rockland, a luxurious assisted-living community nestled in the picturesque hills of Rockland County in Upstate New York.

About the Role:

As an Activity Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a engaging and stimulating environment for our residents. You will assist in the planning and implementation of recreational activities, social events, and outings, designed to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Your role will also involve interacting with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating activities, events, and outings for residents

  • Lead and participate in recreational activities, such as exercise classes, games, and hobbies

  • Engage with residents to understand their interests and preferences, and tailor activities to meet their needs

  • Maintain accurate records of resident events and activities

  • Provide support to residents with daily living skills.

  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff

  • Plan and assist in implementing the decoration of the facility for special events, seasons and holidays.

  • Identify needed supplies for planned activities, and submit to Activity Director.
