RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), your primary responsibility is the improvement of resident functionality through therapy.
  • Treat patients, under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
  • Handle routine treatment of hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, cryotherapy, massage, traction, predetermined exercises, ambulation skills, and functional activities.
  • Assist in tests, gait analysis, and prosthetic checkouts.
  • Assist in instruction for the patient and family in transfers, exercises, and ambulation.
  • Continued support of goal achievement.
  • Helping patients in their restoration of wellness and independence.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Certified as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Long-term care experience preferred
  • CPR Certification required
