Are you passionate about bringing joy and connection to others? Do you have a fun and energetic personality to share with our residents? We're seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team at Eden Nursing & Rehabilitation!

Position Summary:

As an Activity Assistant, you will support our Activity Director in planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive activity program designed to meet the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of our residents. Your goal will be to enhance residents' quality of life by encouraging participation and engagement in meaningful activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly activity calendars
• Lead and participate in group and one-on-one activities (games, crafts, music, exercise, etc.)
• Encourage resident participation and provide support as needed
• Transport residents to and from activities safely (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in activities, recreation, or healthcare preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and positive attitude

Working Conditions:

• May require weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Exposure to healthcare environment conditions

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to assist with resident mobility (lifting, transferring)
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to handle activity equipment and supplies
