Full Time and Part Time Work Available
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team at AdviniaCare Salem, a leading provider of senior lifestyle care in Salem, Massachusetts. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and coordinating activities, social events, and group activities that stimulate and engage their cognitive levels.
Responsibilities:
  • Encourage and assist residents in functional, social, and recreational activities under the direction of the Activity Director
  • Function as a team member and foster good interpersonal communication skills within and between departments
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents in your care
  • Assist in planning and coordinating activities, social events, and group activities
  • Engage residents in various cognitive activities, such as puzzles, games, and arts and crafts

Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Long Term Care experience preferred
  • CPR Certified
  • Certified as an activity assistant preferred
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule, including some holiday and weekend hours
