Job description

The Haven at Cedar Shoals, Athens Georgia's state-of-the-art assisted living & memory care community is currently looking for a full-time Activities Assistant.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, organizing, and implementation of activities for residents
  • Coordinate and manage the activity schedule for residents
  • Provide support and assistance to residents with activities.
  • Conduct individual and group activities to promote socialization and engagement
  • Assist with the assessment and counseling of aging issues
  • Collaborate with social workers to address the needs of residents
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of activity planning and scheduling
  • Familiarity with aging issues and counseling techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
