Job description

The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing meaningful recreational activities designed to promote emotional, social, recreational, and spiritual development of the residents residing in the program while complying with all program policies and procedures and Department of Social Services regulations. This may also include performing activities of daily living for the residents.  

Requirements:

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Valid California Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record (as defined by Casa Colina’s Automobile Insurance Carrier’s requirements)
  • Knowledge of basic reactions of people with traumatic brain injury conditions
  • Ability to practically describe behaviors which are observed in the environment and working knowledge of crisis prevention intervention
  • Must have a obtain criminal clearance from the Department of Justice before employment or initial presence in the facility.
