Responsibilities
  • Supervise designated resident smoking times in accordance with facility policies and safety procedures.
  • Ensure residents follow established smoking guidelines.
  • Provide companionship and positive social interaction during scheduled smoking breaks.
  • Observe residents for safety concerns and report changes in condition or behavior to nursing staff.
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from designated smoking areas when appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe smoking area.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Support the Activities and Nursing Departments as needed.
Qualifications
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
  • Excellent observation and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and facility policies.
  • Experience working with seniors or in healthcare is preferred but not required.
