Job description

The Oaks at Denville is seeking highly energetic Activities Aides to join our team!
The Oaks at Denville is a Springpoint Senior Living Facility located in Denville, NJ. We are currently seeking per diem Activities Aides to join our team. At Springpoint, our Activities Aide is responsible for providing therapeutic activity programs to the residents.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in organizing, developing, and directing all therapeutic activities for groups or individuals to meet the needs of the residents.
  • Assist the Director in planning, organizing, and implementing therapeutic activities.
  • Prepare supplies, lists of participants and schedules for each activity. Escort residents to and from groups. Conduct group activities.
  • Keep a daily record of types and number of activities in which each resident participated.
  • Attend all scheduled educational offerings pertaining to Patient Activities and Resident Care.
  • Assist with outings.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certification from the National Council for Activity Professionals or the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation is preferred
  • 2 Years experience in a similar role preferred
