Job description

This is a full-time Echo Cardiac Technologist opportunity located in Carmel, Indiana.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Call Requirements:

  • Call rotation is approximately every fifth week
  • Call coverage runs Monday through Sunday during off-hours only:
    • Monday-Friday: 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
    • Saturday-Sunday: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  • Holiday call coverage is included and rotated among team members annually

A sign on bonus is available for eligible applicants. 

Job Duties, Tasks and Qualifications:

Performs, administers & monitors Cardio-Diagnostic tests with primary emphasis on cardiac sonography and doppler studies. Administers all Cardio-Diagnostic tests. Provides physician with preliminary findings of recorded data through monitoring and performing the necessary calculations, in a timely fashion while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

  • Basic Life Support certification required. May also require Advanced Life Support certification, if applicable.
  • Applicant must be eligible to sit for their registry at the time of hire and must successfully pass it within one year from start date through one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS): Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, RDCS; or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI): Registered Cardiac Sonographer, RCS, Advanced Cardiac Sonographer, ACS, or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, RCCS.
  • May be required to meet registry/certification requirements for another modality, if applicable.
  • May require license from Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), if applicable.
  • Pass written exam for Basic EKG interpretation with score >85% initially and repeat yearly.
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Echocardiography, preferred.
