Key responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end development, buildout, and adoption of the ICE Private Credit Intelligence platform, including data standards, product development, and go-to-market execution.

  • Manage the onboarding of additional market participants, develop the platform's commercial strategy, and oversee the P&L to ensure sustainable revenue growth.

  • Lead Apollo's market‑structure initiatives by developing data standardization, index development, secondary trading infrastructure, and digital transfer solutions.

Job description

Position Overview

Apollo is a high‑growth, global alternative asset manager focused on delivering excess return across the risk‑reward spectrum from investment‑grade credit to private equity. The Alternative Asset Trading (AAT) group within Apollo Capital Solutions (ACS) is building foundational infrastructure for the private credit market. This role will own the next phase of the ICE Private Credit Intelligence platform, scaling Apollo’s market‑structure initiatives and commercializing the platform across the private credit ecosystem.

Primary Responsibilities
  • ICE Private Credit Intelligence – Platform Ownership
    • Own the Apollo side of the ICE partnership end‑to‑end: product development, data standards, go‑to‑market execution, and commercial strategy.
    • Manage phased buildout from foundation (document ingestion, initial dataset) through scaled adoption (forward integration, LP reporting, multi‑GP onboarding) to market standard (cross‑GP analytics, pricing benchmarks, indices, automated pipelines).
    • Build and manage the document supply pipeline with centralized, consistent, automated delivery of deal documents to ICE for data extraction.
    • Own the permissioning policy framework: design visibility tiers and access rules that govern deal‑level data flow. Define borrower election defaults, agent controls, and override workflows enforced by ICE.
    • Drive ICE adoption into Apollo’s closing and operations workflows so it feels additive, not disruptive.
    • Hold partners accountable to SLAs on document ingestion latency, data accuracy, and dedicated engineering resources, while ensuring Apollo’s side of the dependency is met.
    • Lead integration of ICE data with internal systems (booking, portfolio management, reporting) and external platforms (Aladdin, Everest, Charles River) to make the dataset operationally useful.
    • Manage transition of a securities master evolution from manual data entry to AI‑assisted data validation, reframing workflow improvement.
  • Anchor GP Enrollment & Commercial Strategy
    • Design and execute the strategy to onboard additional originators, asset managers, and capital markets participants onto the ICE platform, converting the Apollo‑seeded dataset into an industry‑wide data utility.
    • Own the GP incentive structure: subsidized early access, contribution‑based economics, and strategic governance participation for top‑tier anchors.
    • Lead pitch conversations with anchor GP candidates, framing the platform around LP reporting, benchmark analytics, market intelligence, and regulatory positioning.
    • Build the onboarding playbook, governance model, and cross‑GP data separation rules required for multi‑tenant operation.
    • Own the P&L trajectory: define revenue models across lifecycle event fees, data and analytics subscriptions, and premium workflows while moving from subsidized adoption to commercial sustainability.
  • Broader Market Structure Initiatives
    • Lead Apollo’s market‑structure strategy across the full stack of infrastructure required for private credit to scale, including data standardization (ICE), index development, secondary trading infrastructure, and digital transfer and settlement.
    • Drive index partnership development to bring standardized performance benchmarking to private credit.
    • Support development of novel transfer and settlement solutions for private assets, moving toward automated, near‑real‑time processes.
    • Contribute to the evolution of Apollo’s secondary trading capabilities, ensuring data infrastructure, pricing transparency, and settlement innovation reinforce each other.
  • Internal Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the primary interface between the infrastructure initiative and senior ACS/AAT leadership, providing clear reporting on milestones, adoption metrics, partnership status, and escalation decisions.
    • Coordinate across trading, portfolio management, legal, compliance, operations, technology, investor relations, and insurance (Athene) teams to ensure internal adoption is as critical as external enrollment.
    • Translate between the language of markets and the language of infrastructure, influencing how platforms need to be built, governed, and commercialized.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, or structured credit markets, with meaningful time spent in both investment/trading and operational/infrastructure roles.
  • Direct experience in portfolio management, trading, or origination of private credit assets.
  • Demonstrated track record of building something from zero to one: a new business line, platform, or operational capability.
  • Strong commercial instinct with experience designing business models, incentive structures, or go‑to‑market strategies; comfort owning a P&L and managing transition from investment phase to revenue generation.
  • Deep understanding of private credit operational mechanics: assignment agreements, settlement workflows, agent processes, and the full lifecycle from origination through secondary transfer and servicing.
  • Ability to hold external partners accountable while delivering on internal commitments.
  • Experience working with or across admin agents, custodians, fund administrators, servicers, and data providers.
  • Experience with market‑structure development or infrastructure buildouts in adjacent asset classes (e.g., syndicated loans, CLOs, ABS); familiarity with LSTA protocols, ClearPar, LXID/CUSIP infrastructure strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with data licensing and information services business models in financial markets.
  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and solutions‑oriented with strong communication skills and high execution discipline; comfortable operating amidst significant ambiguity.
Pay Range

Base salary range: $500,000. The position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location.
