OPPORTUNITY

The Commercial Acquisitions Intern Analyst candidate will be working closely with and provide support to the Commercial Acquisitions Team, including assistance with underwriting potential new investment opportunities using Argus Enterprise and an Excel based model. 

  • Hours Per Week: up to 30 hours (40 hours Winter/Summer)
  • Start Date: As Soon as Possible
  • End Date: December 31, 2026
  • Wages: $20/hr. | $25/hr. for Graduate students
  • Degree Type: Finance - Real Estate Focus Desirable
  • Academic Level: Rising Junior working toward an undergraduate degree, Seniors graduating May or December of 2027 or MBA Candidate


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

The activities listed here are not all-inclusive; rather, they indicate the types of activities normally performed by this position. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas:

  •   Assist in underwriting potential new investment opportunities using Argus Enterprise and an Excel based model
  •   Research and analyze demographic, economic, and real estate market data
  •   Occasional communication with brokers, lenders, and third-party providers to obtain applicable information
  •   Attend and participate in weekly investment committee meetings, presentations, and property site tours
  •   Prepare presentation materials for potential new acquisitions
  •   Assist in the writing and production of investment memoranda and related marketing materials
  •   Assist in the due diligence and closing processes
  •   Provide overall support for the commercial acquisitions team with a willingness to learn and an enthusiasm for commercial real estate


WHAT ABOUT THE PERKS?

  • Growth & Development: The Commercial Acquisitions Analyst Intern will report to the Senior Director of Commercial Investments and work directly with the Acquisitions Analysts on all assigned projects. The Intern will receive one-on-one coaching. Training received will relate to general commercial acquisition topics and concepts, particularly as it relates to industrial investments, as well as real estate lending and appraisal. The Intern Analyst will receive recurring coaching relating to on-the-job performance and mentoring relating to career positioning and developing experience required for a career in commercial real estate investments.
