Job description

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior Acquisition Program Manager supporting a high priority acquisition mission within the Air Force. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Centerโ€™s Special Programs Division (AFLCMC/HNJ) provides sensitive command, control, communications, intelligence, and networks (C3I&N) and battle management (BM) capabilities from kinetic weaponry dominance to information dominance. The Divisionโ€™s expansive customer base includes Air Force Special Access Program (SAP) communities, other Department of Defense (DoD) units, and national-level agencies. These customers increasingly require rapid fielding of advanced capabilities to counter emerging cyber and operational threats to U.S. national security

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Investigates, analyzes, plans, evaluates, drafts and/or recommends solutions for project/program efforts.
  • Provides expert level issue resolution and recommendation support to achieve desired program outcomes.
  • Applies broad knowledge of organizational missions and programs, such as acquisition management and modernization planning.
  • Applies knowledge of and expertise with acquisition management, program management, budget/finance principles and methodologies, modernization planning, and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Executing (PPBE) process.
  • Review initial and revised acquisition documents and provide the enterprise level perspective to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Provide comments on acquisition documentation that add value from an enterprise perspective and facilitate an integrated, system-of-systems approach across the division.
Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance:Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret level clearance and have SAP and SCI eligibility

Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree and 10 years of general work experience, 5 years of which must be in acquisition program management.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in acquisition documentation and milestone preparation

  • Understanding of PPBE process and financial planning

  • Experience in enterprise-level acquisition planning

  • Familiarity with DoDI 5000 series, JCIDS, and program lifecycle documentation

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong communication and briefing skills

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Team-oriented mindset with leadership experience
