Job description

Kingsland Public Schools has a 1.0 FTE, 7-12 Art Teaching Position available for the 2026-2027 school year.  

Candidates should hold or be eligible for a K-12 Visual Arts Minnesota teaching license. Additional licensure areas are a positive.

Preferred candidates will possess:

  • A strong background in a variety of visual art media (e.g. drawing, painting ceramics, photography, etc.)
  • Experience with aligning curriculum and assessments to the state standards
  • Skills in differentiating instruction and strong classroom management
  • Cooperative professional approach to teaching and learning
  • Willingness to work as part of a highly collaborative team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technology and organization skills
  • Strong classroom and behavior management
  • Multiple strategies used to ensure all learners achieve at the highest levels
  • Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLC), and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
  • Belief that all students can achieve at high levels and meet high expectations

Salary: $46,466-$80,386, depending upon experience and education. (Based on Master Agreement)
